Jan is an award winning machine knitter from Australia who has 16+ years experience teaching and knitting professionally. Her demonstration is entitled: “Let’s Do It Sideways”, and will be a comprehensive exploration of sideways knitted jackets, skirts, and coats. This is an extremely timely demonstration as we increasingly see sideways knitted garments in all of our major stores. The techniques she has developed and will demonstrate will be suitable for all machines and all skill levels. She will walk us through a step-by-step process that will encompass all you need to know to knit a beautiful, stylish sideways garment in the yarn, stitch pattern, and size of your choice. She will be bringing many samples to showcase some of the creative options open to this type of garment.
